Chelmsford seem to be recruiting and spending a lot. Just wonder if they fail to get promoted what happens then? As we have seen only two go up . Interesting times, but most managers and supporters seem to accept this coming season will be very challenging especially if your playing budget is at the lower end of the scale.

Some estimates say that 11 clubs in the NLS will be either full time or hybrid next season. Only two can be promoted so nine clubs will have spent a lot of money to stay where they are. How many seasons do you follow this strategy before you realise it's a wasted effort? Surely better to be the best of the non full time clubs and see if you can sneak into the playoffs whilst ensuring a solid mid table position.

I see Salisbury have announced a new Kuwaiti investor/backer. Which probably explains some of their signings.

Dorking Wanderers manager says they have cut their budget by £300K for the coming season. That's probably more than our entire budget for last season. If he can be believed, it sounds as if he is starting to realise that DW can't really compete with some of the teams n the NLS at least in money terms.

Probably need the funds to pay Marc White's fines!

Am I the only one among non-league supporters who can't stand him? His popularity among not only Dorking fans, but others too, never ceases to amaze me.

The few non-league fans I know regard him as a total idiot and I wouldn't disagree.

I quite like him (apart from the fact he supports AFC Wimbledon!) he is an individual without a filter which makes him stand out in a sea of cap doffing conformity. I think we need more characters, everyone is boring! Think Gwinnett interviews.

I think it's the "desperate to be one of the lads" thing that I find the most irritating. Ever seen one of his team talks? They're pretty much all online...
Didn't he work in finance or the city or something? Bet he didn't talk like that at work. The team talks are meaningless "motivational" claptrap at best. However he surrounds himself with good, highly competent coaches who no doubt go through all the technical stuff before the cameras are let in to see him doing one of his pseudo cockney cheerleading nonsense. So many times the players look at him with a look of "I have to tolerate this to play here" about them.

Chelmsford have signed Lyle Taylor. Just makes this league even more harder…
