Another thing that occurs, now we are approaching the end of pre-season, is the whereabouts of Brendan Kiernan. Now through following social media of other clubs we know where others from last season's squad have ended up, but there still hasn't been any news from anywhere about Brendan, that I have heard anyway. So it seems his contract wasn't renewed but whether this was his choice or ours who knows?
It often seems it is easier to find information on secret service personnel from the Government than it is to find similar information from football clubs. Do these clubs think fans simply forget players when they haven't seen them around for a couple of weeks?
It’s bizarre isn’t it? Us fans aren’t asking for much, just a simple message/tweet to tell us a player has gone.

I can understand it more with players who were only on loan, or had only been with us a few weeks etc but in my view we just owe someone like Brendan a little more than that.

I suspect it is Brendan looking for a better deal somewhere. He didn’t play anywhere last season until he joined us. Clearly he has the ability to play at this level if he wants to.

Marcus Dewhurst - who from what I can tell spent the summer on trial with York. Has now signed for Matlock Town in Step 4. A very good signing for that level.

Re Dewhurst i find that astonishing. Maybe location meant he wasn't ever going to sign for us this season. I think the just is very much out on our new keeper, mainly because of his of his size..

That 2nd part is disappointing as I thought he had a really good game against us.
