Thought he was very shot-shy for us but Walton may get more out of him. We could do with another forward with some goals as still seems we are quite reliant on RGC.Just two weeks to go before our first league game so hopefully some late irons in the fire.

One thing about this summer, it's been interesting looking at all these much bigger clubs than us signing up various members of last season's Hampton squad who, let's not forget, only just managed to keep us up.

Another thing that occurs, now we are approaching the end of pre-season, is the whereabouts of Brendan Kiernan. Now through following social media of other clubs we know where others from last season's squad have ended up, but there still hasn't been any news from anywhere about Brendan, that I have heard anyway. I get that we no longer seem to mention when players leave, but surely Brendan merits a bit more than that? He was fabulous in his first spell with us and although only with us for half of last season probably made the biggest on field contribution to us staying up. Has he retired? Gone elsewhere? Just not returned? It'd be nice to know.

Transfermarket.co.uk which is usually quite accurate shows that from 1st July he is without a club.

So it seems his contract wasn't renewed but whether this was his choice or ours who knows?
It often seems it is easier to find information on secret service personnel from the Government than it is to find similar information from football clubs. Do these clubs think fans simply forget players when they haven't seen them around for a couple of weeks?
