Good run out. Game ended slightly prematurely by an injury to their goalscoring right winger. Witnessed said players assumed Father collect a glass bottle from a bin outside the bar, and walk back in the ground. We let Steve Bates know, along with the Ashford bar staff who seemed to react quickly so hope all got away safely.

Two halves with the sides mixed up with probables and possibles plus some young trialists. Gray and Hunt both out with injuries. Dry bumpy pitch with very strong cross wind were not the best conditions for attractive football. First half side was much the better of the two, had a great deal of possession and created a few decent chances. Looked like a 3-5-2 with Donaldson pushed up alongside Bloomfield. Of the trialists, Pitblado looked decent but clearly has some experience at NLS level. Second half side looked pretty disjointed and the energy levels seemed somewhat lower. We gave away a bit of a soft goal. Hall and Seymour showed fleeting moments of class. I wouldn’t extrapolate too much from the first run out as neither half would be the likely starting XI. Will be interesting to see how the Julian/Debois contest works out and whether we are going with a back three and wing backs.

Certainly looked that way TW10, hence why we sounded the alarm bells
