Page is nowhere near as good as the other midfielders we have. Doesn't suit our style of play either. Not athletic enough and no plays sideways. When you have an excellent player like Hunt on the bench you know the midfield is strong.

Which makes it all the more bizarre why he started v Spennymoor. I presume we signed him for good reasons and from what I can gather there is a decent player in there somewhere, but if we can't give him a reasonable amount of game time then not much point of having him on the books.

Four of our next six games are against teams currently in the top seven, Boreham Wood, Torquay, Truro and Dorking. That should go some way to tell us whether we have a realistic chance of getting into a play off spot. We are currently eight points off 7th with a game or two in hand of those above us. A long shot maybe but we should be looking up rather than down the table.

Looking up the table is what we should have been doing at the end of last season!

After Page left Farnborough, I believe he went on trial at St. Albans but had no offer and then appeared at H&R, as for Hunt and a few others not starting for H&R, I would expect they could become frustrated and a risk of losing as other clubs plan for the season run in, a lot would depend whose on contract or not at H&R if approaches where to happen. Odei not starting at H&R and joining a a team currently sitting in a play off position albeit a club return to Worthing is a prime example and would be a concern imo for some off our squad.
Solid result against Tonbridge who had a very physical side to their game yesterday I thought, no angels for sure!
