Overall a really good win and performance, aside from a 20 minute spell in the first half when Weymouth were on top and scored their 2 goals.
Could have been 2 up early doors with Jake Gray having a couple of shots saved, throughout the night their keeper was never confident catching shots or crosses, preferring to punch or push the ball away. Good penalty from Pitblado after the most ridiculous hand ball but then Weymouth got on the front foot, scored 2 quick goals and Adam made one excellent save.
Should have equalised from Dean when he got a free header from a Deadfield corner but Weymouth didn't learn their lessons and from the next 2 corners Luiz put us ahead, Jake missed another good chance before half time as well.
2nd half we were in complete control, should have added a couple more but a combination of good defending and a couple of saves meant that Josh's fine team goal was the only further score.
Good game, good night out which even the closer of the M3 on the return journey couldn't spoil!

Thanks for the detail report. Much appreciated. Mel said very much the same things in his summary. He thought that Seymour might be back at the weekend. It was significant that two goals from a centre half, one from a midfielder and a penalty. Perhaps this underlined the absence of our three leading scorers. Donaldson should be back on Saturday as his suspension is over.
