I know for a fact we have! We played Northwich Victoria in 2011-12 who finished 2nd in the NPL that season, before being demoted for financial issues.

For HRB Historian Les: have we ever played a team from the Northern Premier League before?

Northwich Victoria, (2011/12) in the F A trophy, same round as our forthcoming game v Macclesfield

plus Salford City friendlies 15/16 & 16/17 ( I know they were friendlies!)

We also played Gateshead in a pre-season friendly in 2007, when they were in the NPL. Adding onto the Northwich game, this was at the same round of the competition we are currently at, (equalling our best run) and was originally scheduled to be played at Moss Rose, Macclesfield. After a couple of postponements, the game was eventually played at Nantwich Town, also in the NPL at the time.

Our next FA Trophy opponents, Macclesfield Town (playing with 10 men from the 40th minute) lost 2-3 to NPL League leaders Radcliffe. Our last opponents, Hartlepool, won 1-0 away to Ebbsfleet.
