Eastbourne Borough
Eastbourne have finally sacked their manager Mark Beard after a disastrous run which sees them in the relegation places. Multi millionaire new owner Simon Leslie took a chance on Beard who was a well regarded coach at Dorking but had never managed at this level and gave him a £10,000pw playing budget. The obvious man waiting in the wings is Eastbourne resident Steve King but after his disastrous reign at Havant Mr Leslie would be well advised to steer well clear.

Agree about Steve King.
Why don’t these clubs do some research before making these critical appointments. .
Notice that Havant results are improving since King left. Have a listen to Spencer’s comments after yesterday’s game v Farnborough! Amongst all his rants against his team, he makes the point that Havant’s bench wages were greater than his team. Would expect Havant to get out of relegation before we play them in February.

I wonder what diligence was done,it can't have been random. I suspect the problem is deciding to go full time which meant the loss of continuity as players who could not commit to full time left. In comparison, we kept most of the previous squad together and have added gradually. How well Beard knew the players he brought in I can’t say. Many had poor injury records which has been an issue for them. Many were quite young and inexperienced at this level.
They have appointed Adam Murray who was assistant manager at Cheltenham having recently been sacked by AFC Fylde who he got promoted last season to the NL fro the NLN. Seems like Eastbourne threw a fair bit o money at him to get him out of Cheltenham.

EB seem to have thrown a lot of money around, since the Summer, doesn't seem to be doing working very well for them.
