Of course, when it does go sour it would be an easy guess as to who the owners will blame.

If only some supporters had voiced their concerns prior to the vote about what could happen if things didn't go to plan.....
But we were silenced by the trust board and not allowed to put an alternative point of view across. Not allowed to send an alternative view out to members, because of "GDPR".

Yep, we popped in for about half an hour. It's good that the electrics seem to have been sorted out and redone. There is a very evident 'scar' of relaid concrete which I am guessing is where new cables etc have been laid.
There has been a kind of neatening up of the area outside the bar where the Trust shed was, which looks, well, neater. A new shop and another small bar next to it has also been put there.
A few PR activities taking place in the Alan Simpson stand, involving photos being taken with lots of people wearing the Movember false moustaches and lots of cheering etc.
Pitch looks very lush and green indeed...it clearly needs a bit of a trim and marking out before Tuesday though. A few other bits and pieces around the ground still looking like they need putting back up in time for Tuesday night, including the old badges at the back of the side covered terrace.
I can only imagine that the 750,000 quoted must include the budget for the new artificial pitch and lights though.

The press release very clearly states ‘a £750K upgrade to core infrastructure during the off season,’ so did anyone ask the question?

Perhaps one for a Tuesday?

From what I heard towards the end of last season in addition to the pitch and floodlights the roof on the main stand and covered stand contains asbestos so needed to be changed. The club house was having an upstairs area, plus the new club shop and other toilet facilities. Where this fits with the reported cost of £750k I am not sure. Wonder what is in planning applications?

I only see two planning applications so likely other works did not need it:
22/0876/FUL - Replacement of stadium grass pitch with artificial (3G synthetic turf) grass pitch
22/0030/FUL - Installation of 8no. 15.0m high floodlighting columns and to upgrade the existing floodlighting system to LED floodlights.

If these are the only two applications then the other works either did not need them or they were never to be done at this time?
