THOSE WERE THE DAYS
August 10th 2010
Pre-Season Friendly

HRBFC 1 Tottenham Hotspur XI 1 Att; 1,063
Simmonds

Matt Lovett; Danny Allen-Page, Craig Tanner, Dean Inman, Dave Stevens, Dean Wells, Na CORRECTED SEE BELOW¬

A gloomy summer’s day saw a decent crowd turn up to watch HRBFC take on a youthful Spurs XI, which included former England U21 keeper, Ben Alnwick and also Andros Townsend & Ryan Mason. Allen-Page and Collier combined to set up Simmonds to give the home side the lead. Spurs tended to dominate the game thereafter but it took until the 77th minute for them to equalise. Substitute Kudos Oyenuga brought out a good save from Lovett but another substitute followed in, making no mistake from close range. The subs name? Oh yes, Harry Kane – whatever happened to him?

Remember the game Les but had no idea Harry Kane came on as a sub, us have been about 16 years old.
I always liked Jamie Simmonds and he worked well with Nathan Collier.

We must have played really well to get the draw with only 6 and a half players! I'm assuming the "half" was Nathan Collier and not Nana Badu.

Yup, and when I said last year about playing XI's from pro clubs people said but you don't get big names, no but you get stars of the future!

I think Sam Cox may have also been in the Spurs squad that day?
