After the Worthing defeat they played with 3 CBs plus 2 full backs and were hoping to hit us on the break and it did not work very well which shows how we have started to get our act together. Admittedly we still have a long way to go and the relegation trap door has not closed. 3 points on Tuesday would be a great help.

Dulwich manager Paul Barnes has been sacked after Saturday’s defeat. He was an odd appointment with very little track record at our level but they wanted him for a wider youth development role. Never sits that well when your development lead is also your first team manager. They had the same issue with Marcus Rose.

GAVIN Rose.
Wouldn't put him in the same bracket. Did very well for a long time at Dulwich.

You could argue that with the budget he had he should have done far better than he did.

The point I am making is that in combining the roles you risk disrupting the wider club/youth development if you decide to sack the first team manager because of a run of bad results. Barnes was in place for just 6 months. When Rose left the whole Aspire Academy pipeline closed up. I should point out that Aspire was a separate entity to DHFC but was effectively supplying a large number of players into the club.

Looks a good appointment, he won the league last season and has a lot of experience at this level, no doubt will have the contacts to strengthen the side. Their chances of survival have probably been increased by this appointment which is not good for us!

Mention of managers I read Doswell of Havant has a 12 game suspension following an incident at Ebbsfleet in September 2021 which has taken the FA this long to sort.

Havant won the game 2.1 as well. Doswell would have got upset if they had lost.
