What a great listen this was!
A very professional production which was articulate, entertaining and informative. And it also brought home what players and back-room staff (and Covid officers!) have had to go through to bring us such great entertainment on the pitch this season.
Well done, Seb, for bringing it all together.

Club announced today departure of Vilhelm, Fisher, Gondoh and Carvalho. Muir is of course on loan at Woking. Some may return next season.
Meanwhile Dowse says he is going to put the whole squad on furlough if they don’t get through the next round of the Trophy. Woking are going full time next season and sounds like a bit squad clear out is planned.

Feasible to speculate if Gary has been checking out any that may leave Woking in the summer...Tony wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 12:46 pm Club announced today departure of Vilhelm, Fisher, Gondoh and Carvalho. Muir is of course on loan at Woking. Some may return next season.

Tony’s point about the departures is not unexpected after hearing Gary’s recent comments. As was pointed out some may return next season, he suggested 2-3 of them. Time will tell. What seems to have happened is that certain players who he sees as key for the future have been retained and no doubt many of us can speculate who they are. The club seen determined to go into its centenary season with a competitive squad. No doubt all of us will look forward to it.

It will depend how much the club can afford under the furlough scheme. Taking account of what players and management have said, I would hope that players like Julian, Inman, Wassmer, Ruddick , Deadfield , Farrell and Gray would be included. Muir is on loan so he is contracted for this season and so we are getting a contribution to his wages?
Interesting to know what others would like to see next season.

I read that Dowse is going to announce a couple of signings on Monday. Speculation on their forum it could be from us, Wassmer and Gray mentioned. We will wait and see, if so, the question will be will Woking be changing their club colours to red and blue?

If that’s the case, the Woking fans will grumble again... some are getting tired of signing players from us, they want players from their level or better.
