[*]Eastbourne Tuesday. They got a draw at Dulwich last week and a win at home to Hemel Hempstead 1.0 on Saturday. . Looks like this could be a draw to me. But don't put the Club Car on it.

This will not be easy.
The games are coming thick and fast! Our squad is very stretched we have 16 at best including 5 loans. Certain positions have no obvious cover, players are looking tired and we are likely to pick up or have injuries . If we have no additions I can see more Academy players on the bench. Looking at the current squad it is smaller, less experienced than at the start of the season and probably also the preceding couple of campaigns.
Hopefully Gary has it in hand, in some ways to have a major readjustment of the squad mid season with one relegation spot might be a window of opportunity?

You’re quick off the mark with these new threads HM. More time on your hands now the loan club car’s been recalled by Woking?

Tough match. 2-1 Hampton. Julian saves an injury time penalty.

Dowson has enough money to buy another car after selling top scorer Tahvon Campbell for £149,000 to Rochdale.

Losing 1.0. Charlie Kendall 9th min. Latched on to a long ball and put it through Julians legs.

Half time losing 1.0. Hampton the better team IMO. :geek:

Should have got at least a point from that.

Definitely should have got a point but now lost 9 of last 12 games. Julian at fault on both goals, not coming off his line for a ball over the top then seeing Kendall’s shot go through his legs. The second was a personal disaster coming for a ball that he shouldn’t have. It was Kendall again who sidestepped his challenge on the edge of the box and finished into an unguarded net. He later made a more typical save to keep us in it but the goal came when the momentum was building for an equaliser and was Eastbourne’s only real attack of the second half. Donaldson pulled one back quickly thereafter from a corner and Deadfield went agonisingly close but was his touch just drifted wide of the post. Two fairly even sides tonight where we shaded the possession but didn’t create too many good chances. Still need to keep possession better rather than hit everything long in a rush to get forward. Manager has promised two signings for the weekend game against Oxford and we’ll need them with only four players on the bench tonight.

God knows how we lost that. Hard to be critical of Julian when he has been brilliant all season. Both goals against the run of play. We dominated possession and I thought Eastbourne for most of the game offered very little. For us Gray and Block were very good down the right and as ever Robinson worked hard up front feeding off scraps though did miss a sitter. I do think the three in central midfield are too similar, one needs to be making late runs into the box. Not sure why Farrell doesn't start. Strong defender with a great left foot. Anyway we didn't create enough given the possession and a real shame about Barzey. Would expect a CH and a decent striker to be the signings.

It was a game of smash and grab. Both goals were scored in breakaway attacks. We spent most of the second half on the attack but we never looked likely to score. Kendall looks a class above as a striker. He is on loan from Lincoln.
