Won 2.1. Nearly mucked it up.

Great win. Worked hard. Good attitude. New signings looked useful. Why the hooped kit? We’re this year’s shirts in the wash?

Well how nice it is to be proved wrong. Much better today, and the loanees, especially Robinson, look like quality additions. A slight note of caution in that we will play better sides than Concorde, but how nice to see a good team spirit and smiles on faces again. Well done all.

Hopefully a morale boosting win for the Beavers after a very difficult week. New lads did fine and we kept battling away even when Concord hit a late equaliser. Perhaps fortunate that Concord were not tougher opposition. We could still do with another specialist centre back now that Wassmer’s departure has been confirmed. Pointedly Slew and Muir were left on the bench. I wonder how long they will tolerate that.

Yes a result that breaks the run of poor results. Concord are not in great form recently and we will more tested next week. As has been commented elsewhere we need to try and get in a dominant central defender and a tall striker would be handy. Hamblin is a left back and might improve as he is very young. Robinson looks a slightly larger version of Slew, Felt that two up front was a bonus.
