A Hampton team that was shorn of Jamie Jarvis, Alan Inns, Andy Morley, Dudley Gardner and Richard O’Connor never looked like pulling back the 2-1 deficit from the first leg. The nearest that Hampton came to scoring in the first half was a shot by Allen in the 24th minute that brought out a good save from Paul Taylor. As in the first leg Dunstable were to have a better second half. Dunstable extended their advantage in the 52nd minute when Matt Baldry headed in from a corner. However, Hampton were quick to respond, Glynn looped in a free-kick and when the ball did eventually come down, Omonua volleyed the ball crisply into the net. Dunstable extended their lead on the hour mark with a high cross that slipped through Hampton keeper Blake’s hands. In the 70th minute Fowler had a goal disallowed for offside as Hampton tried desperately to get back in the game, Fernandes went close and Ulasi fired over from a tight angle. A minute from time Hampton lost the ball in midfield and Thomas Hayes was let with a simple tap-in to cement their victory. Dunstable lost the final 5-1 to Thurrock.
