Would expect a tight game could be a draw.

Same team except Gray on bench so Keeya and Hunt in midfield with Atkinson and Williams. Wall on bench , seems to be usual pattern.

We played very well again and probably deserved the win. The midfield 3 of Hunt, Atkinson and Keeya were excellent. Terrible pen by Vilette but that aside he also played very well. Slough are a strong side. Was a good game to watch and great advert for the NLS.

In the end two points thrown away in a very even and open game. Slough raced out the traps and caught us napping in the very first minute. From a short corner Gilbert drove a fine shot into the far corner for 1-0. It took us a while to get the pace of the game but equalised also from a corner, Campbell looping a clever header past Horlock The best moment of the game came just before half time when another great team passing move was finished off by Roberts for 2-1. Slough continued to apply the pressure for much of the second half and were on top with us making the occasional counter attack. We should have closed out the game when we were awarded a penalty for foul on Vilhete but Vilhete spoilt an otherwise impressive performance by trying a panenka which was easily caught by the Slough keeper. Why he decided on such a high risk shot only he will know. Roberts our usual penalty taker was on the pitch and in hindsight was the lower risk option. NaturallySlough went up the other end and minutes later won their own penalty after a foul by Atkinson. Spasov took no such risks and converted for 2-2. A draw was maybe a fair result on the balance of play and chances but had we scored our penalty the game was almost certainly over. Good entertainment though.

I can't help thinking that during a spell in the second half, when the game was appearing to slip out of our control, a substitution such as bringing Wall on to hold the ball up might have made some difference. Overall though, a very decent display and a thoroughly entertaining game.

Looked as though the Slough keeper had been briefed about Mauro’s previous panenkas. He just stood still and caught the ball. Cost us two extra points.
