My guess is that it was some sort of falling out with Scott Forbes who seemed to head up the investor syndicate. I suppose missing out on the playoffs may have been an issue for investing further funds but it seems like the problem actually arose a little before that - so possibly it was just a personal falling out.
Yep, the club had already started looking for additional funding posting this on 11-Apr-2024.

"true success and leadership comes from adapting, improvising, and overcoming obstacles"

And I think everyone should thank the Charlatan Brothers for providing so many obstacles to overcome!

In related news Stefano is no longer listed as a director of Ramayana. Leaving Rafa and the recently appointed UXA Fly Ltd as the sole directors.

UXA Fly Ltd is a company owned by 2 Directors and Shareholder.

I'll leave others to guess as to who they could be.

UXA Fly seems to be a dormant company which Rafa owns all the shares in. I wonder about the reason for this.

I think it is pretty obvious what is going on!

A couple of weeks back, despite not getting the on-pitch result against Torquay, the Beavers smashed their highest-ever grossing matchday revenue! Off the pitch, the team took things to a whole new level.
"highest-ever grossing matchday revenue!"

Hmmmm.... what about the FA Cup games, play off finals, matches versus the likes of AFC Wimbledon with capacity crowds and far bigger attendances?

Anything that happened prior to 2023/24 is irrelevant.
Never happened.
It is of no consequence to the new boys in charge.
Doesn't fit in with the mantra.

The brothers latest pearls of wisdom on LinkedIn. This time, the investors are the problem.

Three myths I learned the hard way as a football club owner:

1. MYTH: Win and they will come.

REALITY: Packed stands hinge on atmosphere, not just trophies. A family-friendly “event” trumps Tuesday nights in the dead of winter, no matter the scoreboard.

2. MYTH: Spend big, win big.

REALITY: We caved to investor pressure and spent on ‘going pro’—no playoffs. Cut costs (by more than 50%), rebuilt hunger, and soared. Money alone doesn’t buy passion or points.

3. MYTH: Business brilliance translates seamlessly.

REALITY: In football, everyone’s an “expert,” irrational investor demands run rampant, and passion often drowns reason. Stick to your principles—resilience beats reckless spending.

At the end of the day, football is about people. Recruit wisely, on and off the pitch, and your strategy will flourish.

When people in charge cave in to pressure it says far more about their ability as leaders than anything else.

When people in charge blame others for their shortcomings it shows they have no credibility.

Good grief - let's just recap on the full "those to blame" list now:
  • The fans “who are objectively and factually slobs”
  • The volunteers so resistant to change and who didn’t add value
  • The “old school” supporters who said they didn’t want fancy pizza
  • The manager who wouldn’t listen to football strategy from directors
  • The parties who didn’t deliver the “promised funds”
  • The investors who bullied management
Not many directions left to point fingers now!

My main thought is thank goodness Ben and Jacques stayed involved and were able to get hold of the reigns and Jules was around and prepared to take on the challenge. I'm sure nobody could have envisaged how well it has gone so far this season.

It really seems we now just have one pair of characters that don't appear to add any value...

Two excellent and reasoned responses to a statement which shows a lack of awareness, common sense and a complete lack of understanding of how they are perceived by people with more than 4 brain cells.

This is completely true. All they've really achieved is a complete breakdown of goodwill with the previous (excellent) bunch of volunteers and many of the longer term supporters.
It's almost been like an exercise in how not to run a football club. So a little reflection then... why was it that their involvement ended up being voted through?
