Eastbourne here on Tuesday
A miraculous second half after it appeared we might be about to sink to a reasonably heavy home defeat. It seems difficult to put a finger on quite what changed, but all of a sudden heads were up, many players seemed to start playing out of their skins, Eastbourne were rattled and we never let them off the hook. Looking forward to seeing the highlights - expecting them to comprise 30 seconds from the first half and 5 minutes plus from the second!
Some excellent contributions all round - Vilhete and Crichlow really showed what they can bring to the party and some spectacular moments from Masampu, Archy Taylor, Jack Taylor and Gray in the goals.
After early season optimism, it was starting to look like we had lost our way. Hopefully we can now look forward to better things ahead after this revelation.

Years and years ago I remember speaking to a referee after a game in the Beaver Bar, and asked if he could referee games of the club he supported,Mucky knees wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 10:41 pm Believe it or not last night's referee, Lisa Benn, did her referee's course in Eastbourne of all places!!!

he showed us an Aldershot tattoo on his leg, and when asked said he had refereed their games several times.
He joked (well I hope looking back) that he gave a late penalty to them.
Seems odd that is allowed.
