The Beavers took the initiative scoring after just 9 minutes, Diarra getting on the end of a Casey cross. Numerous chances came and went for Hampton to extend their lead, however in the 42nd minute Hendon were reduced to ten men when Mark Kirby denied a goalscoring opportunity to Kabamba. The second half became one-way traffic. Diarra scored his second goal, two minutes into the second half, following a Casey free-kick. Minutes later Hampton were awarded a penalty, Joe Wright saved the shot but Sinclair followed in to make it 3-0. Moone made it 4 with a well-taken finish, Casey, again, the provider. With time running out Hendon’s Leon Smith was dismissed for, arguably, a very soft red card before Taylor added Hampton’s fifth in added time. A comprehensive victory, with opposition manager Gary McCann stating they were lucky to lose by only five.
