It was deja-vu all over again as for the second season running, as Hampton went to Wokingham Town, took the lead…but lost. Hampton, though, could have few complaints as the hosts coped better with the gale-force winds. Seven minutes into the contest and Rowbottom headed in Crandley’s cross but they couldn’t hold on to the lead. On the half-hour Wokingham equalised through a header from McDevitt, then just two minutes later they took the lead via a Burbage penalty (after he had been brought down by Ward). Wokingham scored their third on 60 minutes when Griffiths was left with an easy header into an empty net after Cooling had misjudged a lob. Wokingham should have had a fourth in the final minute but Ward managed to deflect the shot wide of the goal.
