Ah yes, we lost 7-2 at Maidstone on his debut. We could have lost 14-2. Finney was pretty unimpressive that day and hardly played again.
Eastbourne are going full time and will be throwing a lot more money at the squad. Will be interesting to see who rocks up there.

Re: New pitch floodlights etc.
Not sure why the 3G and floodlights could not go ahead as a separate project. The benefits of doing so seemed clear so maybe there have been some issues with those. The club were obliged to submit a Community Access Plan as a condition of the PP but not seen anything published so could that be an is...

Re: New pitch floodlights etc.
Just begs the question as to what prevented work commencing and invites speculation.

Re: New pitch floodlights etc.
So if I read the newsletter correctly the 3G and floodlights are being delayed to next close season which comes as a big surprise. No explanation given for the change of plan.

Re: News of former players
He played much of last season for us carrying quite bad injuries. He is the sort of player who will play with a broken leg if you give him the chance.

Re: New pitch floodlights etc.
Obviously I hope my doubts are unfounded but it's the lack of openness from the club (i.e. the new owners) that's caused them. Most clubs would have been eager to keep supporters informed of any stadium developments during the close season but we've all been reduced to guesswork as to what the plan...

Re: New pitch floodlights etc.
I don’t see why that would be the case. We still have our ground grading in place and the proposed works will only enhance that.

Re: New pitch floodlights etc.
I guess we will continue to speculate about the right course of action to take but until the club makes known its plans probably best to wait and see. I suspect as BeaverWatcher said it is other planned work at the ground holding up the 3G and floodlights which have planning permission in place. I t...
