Hmmm. On that note, wasn't Sam Cox supposed to have been in Ted Lasso as an extra? That probably seals it...EastTerracer wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 6:45 pm I imagine the brothers are too busy compiling a list of American Football coaches to comment on the situation.

Re: Club Statement 03/05/24
Investors walking away, Mel gone, doesn’t read well for the future to be honest. Massive deficit in funding, spent way beyond their means, now paying the price. No Manager would go anywhere near those two! To be honest I've long been wondering if we need a contingency plan, just in case we are ever...

Re: Club Statement 03/05/24
The National League group on FB said he was "relieved of his duties" so maybe they think they know a bit more than us. We might never know the truth...TW3 Beaver wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 11:45 am Most of the posts on here, in response to the statement, seem to assume that Mel was sacked.
Maybe it was his own decision.

Re: Club Statement 03/05/24
My young assistant has done his research and supplied me with a list of potential candidates, not many of them that appealing: David Noble ex Wealdstone, St Albans Sam Cox ex Wealdstone interim manager, Tottenham youth coach Danny Bloor ex welling, eastbourne Bradley Quinton ex hemel, Braintree, Enf...

Re: Club Statement 03/05/24
Interesting. I wouldn't bet against him having been sacked. The run in was dire as was some of the football at times, even during the unbeaten run. The statement is worded so vaguely that further explanation is definitely needed although I doubt we'll get it. So...who's next or might be available? T...

Re: Robbie Brownett
There must be loads of stories about Robbie. I think the one about him offering (ahem)some calm parking guidance to one Brendan Rogers (the Liverpool Manager at the time, at the Bev to see his son play for an opposing side I believe) must be right up there! How can I put it...Rob could be funny, wit...

Re: Robbie Brownett
Agree very sad news, as has already been commented he has been a fixture at the club for longer than most people can remember. Think I first met him in the late 60s or early 70s.Saw him at least once at Brentford during this time. It would be fitting for the club to mark his contribution over the y...

Harris to Kingstonian really is baffling. They're on a steady downhill spiral these days.

Robbie Brownett
Sad news to report this evening I'm afraid... I heard over the weekend from Robbie's brother Jonathan that he has unfortunately passed away at home. Robbie was a long time stalwart of the club-supporter, volunteer, barman, committee member, supporter's team organiser, general ground helper, parking ...

Re: Playoffs who do you think will win?
The huge crowd at Maidstone makes a big difference and could be a factor. I'm sure they influenced a few 50/50 refereeing decisions against us on Saturday. However, Aveley could well go there and spring a surprise. They are a decent side and have hit form at the right time. Maidstone are pretty good...
