Re: Retained list.
Hanworth Villa were a decent side at that level but having seen them a few times last season they will definitely need to stregthen. Duncan Culley signed for them recently, if he's fit he should score a few.

Re: Season 2022-2023
Interesting that Fotmob have ended their sponsorship. Might explain the season ticket prices and cautious recruitment.

Re: Season tickets
Yes, got mine earlier. Interesting. Anyone know what matchday prices are going to be? I’m not particularly making criticisms here by the way, just observations. Even taking into account the increased number of games this season, £250 (or £220 if renewing) seems steep at first glance when compared to...

Re: Walton Casuals
It probably comes down to a lack of volunteers and proper infastructure, as well as a lack of finance. You can't run a club without people to run it.
I'd agree that it's a shame that it can't just be handed over to whoever wants to take it on, but maybe no one even came up to suggest that?

Re: Pre-Season
I honestly don't think friendlies against football league academy or under 23 sides do attract new fans in, people wised up long ago to the fact that these games are hopeless as a spectacle. I only go to them out of habit and a desire to see who is trialling for us. The only thing that can really ge...

Re: Season tickets
Great work TW2, that's really informative. Interesting that Havant is one of the cheapest...considering their alleged budget it gives an indication of what Doswell and other sponsors might be putting in as they clearly don't rely on season ticket income!

Re: Season 2022-2023
Not wishing to appear to overly pessimistic but I think we'll need to be careful this season. Any club hovering just below midway will spend a lot of time looking over their shoulder and we all know how tight this division can get when it comes to points on the board. On a related note, it's clearly...

Re: Walton Casuals
Suspect Tony Gale might have just got fed up with putting his hand in his pocket. It's a shame but I'm surprised they completely gave up the ghost quite so quickly. Shame they couldn't have tried voluntary demotion or something and tried to get something more sustainable going.

Re: Pre-Season
Well yeah, of course, there are those who will always be impressed by the "name" of a league club but I think an increasing number of regular and longer term supporters know that the games are only likely to attract an under 18 type side, or younger, are pretty dull as a spectacle, and don...

Re: Staines Town
What a shame, Steve Parsons (the long running secretary) is such a highly respected figure. Isn't it the case that they don't even have use of their ground any more? They must surely be finished as a club at least for the season ahead, as you have to have agreed your ground by the end of March, so t...

Re: Retained list.
Always a shame when a decent player leaves but I didn't in all honesty think he was as effective last season. Maybe he needs a change.
