Informative and excellent interview with Mel now up.
Always comes across as balanced and sensible - no mention of Champions League in our future...

Re: Truro Home Saturday.
I heard the Radio Beaver team mention he picked up an injury in the warm-up. Hopefully nothing too serious.Shepperton Supporter wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 9:00 am Perhaps I missed it, but Fernandez was listed in the team put out earlier but was replaced by Dreyer. Any reason, was he injured?

Welling away on Tuesday
Lowly Welling got a surprise win at Hemel Hempstead on Saturday but sacked their manager, Danny Bloor, Sunday morning.

Re: Braintree home tonight
I think we missed JT more than I was expecting last night. Shane wasn't able to provide the occasional attacking treat that JT can and I guess that is why Whittingham was brought on in that position despite being well away from his natural position. I'm sure I heard that Inman is going to be missing...

Re: Braintree home tonight
It seems for sure there is something different about the crowd counts this season. I think there are usually now a few more fans behind the goal than used to be the case but the density of people on the main terrace last night would have come in at a much lower number than 844 in previous years. Eve...

Re: Braintree home tonight
I never found out why Bloomfield was missing on Saturday - I think he went off at halftime at Chippenham so assume he has some kind of injury.

Re: Some key stats
By my calculations, according to those numbers, attendances are up 82% this year so soft drinks sales have not kept pace either, although I suspect total margin on the drinks has probably outpaced the attendance increases. It used to annoy me a little how cheaply the Junior Beavers Tuck Shop used to...

I'm pretty sure that's not real - it's not on the brother's Instagram account now. It could have been deleted but if someone had decided the wording was a bit off then surely you'd just delete the original and repost with better wording.

Re: FA Trophy 23-24
Our opponents (CVPMs) made two glaring mistakes in their match preview for tomorrow! ii) Ben Seymour scored FOUR goals last Saturday in our 5-2 win over Maidstone United! Unfortunately, I think they have taken last week's match data from here: https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/match/2023-2024/nati...

Re: St Albans here on Tuesday.
Does look like the rain may be done for the day now so hopefully no pitch problems.
The pitch has been looking good so far this season so perhaps the painful delays at the start of the season are paying off, although I guess there are much tougher tests still to come.
