Re: News of former players

Good move for Hutchins as quite clearly was never going to get a game with us. A bit too young and inexperienced to play at CS just yet. Hope he gets some game time at Hendon but if not maybe more sensible to drop down a further division.

Re: Oxford away on Saturday.

We have signed keeper Rhys Forster to replace Miles Bowman who is looking for first team football. Ex Met Police and Walton Casuals.

Re: FA CUP

Have ever played them? currently 2nd bottom in Southern League Premier South, same division as Walton Casuals. We will be favourites to progress.

Re: FA Cup Walton Casuals

Thought we were very poor yet again in the first half apart from the usual performers, Wassmer, Donaldson and Julian. Slightly better in the second and gifted a second by a poor back pass which Fisher tucked away neatly. Good to see a late cameo by Deadfield who scored a penalty. The loan players mu...

Re: Vol 12.4 Dr Owen Club Hampton FC Vice President

Doing a bit of further research on the pre Hampton local sides it would seem that the local GP would always be approached to be a VP of a sporting club or local society. I guess this reflects the status of doctors in those days and the inter-connectedness of society where the church and professions ...

FA Cup Walton Casuals

I see amongst the ex Beavers, Casuals include Abdul Osman, Shaun McAuley and Joe Wotton. Osman is now 34 but probably playing below his current best level. Not sure how strong we will be given injuries and loan players probably not available so could be a close game.

Re: Chesham friendly

From googling some of the names, Purdue is a young GK who has played at Harrow Borough and Beaconsfield. Lewis Hobbs, defender went from St Albans academy to Crystal Palace but then seems to have been released and played for Orient on trial in the summer. Also had some loan time at Welling. Andrew B...

Re: New player from Sheffield Wednesday.

I think even non contract players would be paid whilst out injured unless it was a very long term injury or there was some specific agreement that your pay dropped if not playing, either through injury or loss of form. Some clubs reduce payments if players do not turn up to training without a valid ...

Re: Ebbsfleet

Curious game where Ebbsfleet were on top for most of the time, even with 10 men, but we capitalised on a couple of defensive errors to go in 2-0 at half time. The sending off early in the second half led to Ebbsfleet dominating play and some last ditch defending before Farrell’s freekick secured the...

Re: New player from Sheffield Wednesday.

Thought we were looking for a centre back first. Maybe further loans to come? Anyway welcome to the young lad let’s hope he has an impact.

Re: Tonbridge away on Saturday.

5 games is probably too early to be calling the outcome of the season but we need to regain the form and confidence of the Eastbourne Borough team given next up is Ebbsfleet at home. They won’t be so forgiving in front of goal as Tonbridge. Depends on who we have fit but I would suggest getting Dona...

Re: Tonbridge away on Saturday.

A really poor performance from us today even accounting for a number of injuries affecting the squad. No TMR today ( not sure if injured) so Cox and Uche came in as a makeshift midfield and Brown went to right back. Gondoh looked as if he is still some way from full fitness. NoAnderson on the bench ...
