Re: Dartford away on Tuesday.

Twitter coverage was pretty thin last night. Mel said that Pitblado came on for Wishart second half but may have been others.

Re: Dartford away on Tuesday.

Ft 1-1. Sounds as if Dartford should have closed it out before we equalised. Await reports of those there.

Re: Chelmsford away on Saturday

Losing 1-0. Chelmsford are on top and also had a goal disallowed for offside.

Re: Middlesex Senior Cup 2023/24 Draw

Tony, Don't pretend this is a surprise, at the Supporters Trust meeting where the brothers did a presentation, they kept missing out the word Borough, and I raised the issue. Afterwards, I queried it, and you personally responded about losing Borough with "does it really matter". The issu...

Re: Middlesex Senior Cup 2023/24 Draw

It was the idea of the then Chairman Bob Hayes to attract wider support for the club. I don’t remember it being put to a vote of members ( the club was not a limited company at the time) but could be wrong. There was less focus on heritage asset issues in those days and only the beginnings of the id...

Re: Middlesex Senior Cup 2023/24 Draw

Not under current FA Rules at Step 2 although the request seems to need FA approval, I believe. I have no idea of what the decision making process would be at the FA. Dropping "Borough" might not seen as all that controversial. Something more radical might prompt a differing response but n...

Re: Middlesex Senior Cup 2023/24 Draw

From what I can find, any change of name must be applied for under FA Rules by 31 December for the following season, subject to agreement by the FACouncil. So this would have had to been applied for by 31/12/22 to apply to this season.

Re: Eastbourne Borough

My first thought as well. Having suffered myself over the last few years with the same back problem, a herniated disc, I know that it can ‘go’ at any time and it takes a good while to recover albeit that Alan is a lot younger and fitter than me so recovery times could be a lot quicker. He did say in...

Let's see how fit throughout the season he stays.
Went off injured in the second half yesterday.

Re: Eastbourne Borough

I think the club’s expectations are quite high for the season. I have no idea of our budget but talking to one of the Eastbourne supporters who is quite close to the club he said their budget was £10Kpw which is what you will need to be competing at the top end. I also bumped into one of the Eastbou...

Re: Eastbourne Borough

Obviously disappointing to go into our first league game with four first choice players either missing or on the bench. The starting XI never got going in the first half and we’re lucky not to concede three or four. Desbois was very busy and made some great saves with Fernandez clearing one off the ...
