Re: New season

Why would a club put itself in a position of formally announcing a player is staying for the next season, and therefore setting itself up for the embarrassment of climbing down or of missing out on fees, if it is just verbal? Does the club have a history of this?

It's massively embarrassing and ruins the competition that should have respect.
If you don't want to play all the first team players, then use academy players, but fulfil the fixture.
Only a Sith deals in absolutes, and you’ve done that twice in the last half hour!

Is it still the case that red cards don’t come into affect for 7 days?

Re: Mel Gwinnett

True the new pitch has less maintenance but they do need replacement after a period of time. Oxford have had theirs for six years and are looking to raise £200k to replace it. You need to put aside money each year to meet these costs. https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/23337597.oxford-city-looking-...

Re: Eastbourne (H)

Can’t make the mistake of taking Saturday for Dulwich. Nothing more dangerous than a team that’s just conceded 6 goals (we should know). Will have to be at our best again and prepared for a battle

Phantasmagorical. You’re welcome. 😊
Surely that kind of language is reserved for the club car

Just adding that I appreciate there were several questions submitted ahead of time that weren’t covered, there will be regular fan forums in future and a newsletter with an F&Q’s section
