Re: Prediction time?
I see that Torquay have cut their player budget from £1M to £500K this year but that is probably still more than twice our likely budget.
Hampton had a top 3/4 budget in the division last season, and finished 9th.
Budgets help but don't make final positions.
Look at Havant last season, big ...

Re: Meet The Real Life Ted Lasso Team
The brothers (via Ramayana) didn't trademark the name including Borough. Perhaps this was not possible. Although they didn't change the official name they did change the identity. I wonder whether they gain from the use of the trademarks they did register ? I would rather the club reverted to the ...

Re: Meet The Real Life Ted Lasso Team
Interestingly the video is titled "Hampton and Richmond Borough" and the presenter using the club name several times too.
The look on a certain persons face was interesting.
Then another first comment on camera "Hampton & Richmond...... we will never change the club name"
I see Middlesex FA still ...

Clown of a manager? Wow. That's a very strange observation.
A manager and owner, who started in parks football, getting the club all the way to the top tier of non league football (remember recently HRBFC had a 10-15 year plan to get to the Premier League!)
Marc White may be outspoken and ...

Re: Summer 2024 squad tracker
It always amazes me when clubs have donations or whip rounds for injured players,
why not take out the insurance policy to cover this (not a knock at Hampton) so many clubs AND players don't protect themselves by paying a small weekly amount to cover themselves.
Madness.
Like not insuring your car ...

Re: Prediction time?
If Dorking didn't have a clown as a manager I think they would've won it.So I think Boreham Wood will win it and Maidstone will win the play offs.Relegated I think Enfield,Truro,Weymouth and Weston Super Mare. Finally I think we will finish 9th again.

Re: Pre season games
I think all players bar Alex Wall were wearing a subtly different designed shirt from last season which I assume is the new kit. The shirt numbers have a more modern font and I am not sure if the club crest is still integrated into the fabric design. Alex Wall's looked to be last year's shirt so ...

Ended up fine?Josh2002 wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2024 4:03 pm If i remember correctly, last season we didn’t play anyone from a higher division in pre-season and ended up fine.
Had top 3rd or 4th wage budget in the division and come 9th.
Now probably one of lowest budgets in the division...

Re: Pre season games
Looks like Barnet got a bunch of injuries yesterday and had to borrow an opponents player in the 2nd half to have 11 on the pitch.

Re: New National League tv/streaming deal
Does the 3pm Saturday blackout still apply?
As could be a bit of a killer for match day income for clubs, if fans decided to stay at home and watch.

Re: Summer 2024 squad tracker
I'd say it is very relevant, signing a player that 6 months ago was linked with 6 professional clubs.
Could be a very good signing.

Re: Club Colours
Yuck!!!
Proper Hampton as I always saw it was White Shorts, Navy socks, having that with the Red shirts is the perfect combo and unique.
Would be great to get back to Red and Navy shirts next kit change, would love to see quarters, as it alludes to the club badge.
