Re: Farnborough Home Saturday.

I heard Spencer Day saying they should have won and no doubt that will be the theme of his post match summary. Probably a fair result but to concede a goal in injury time was disappointing. Adam played well in goal and saved a penalty. For all their possession the visitors were held well and I just ...

Well he should not be allowed to play on Tuesday.

His son Martin also played for Brentford, if you want some controversy then mention him to their supporters!

Re: Those Were The Days; 24th February 1968

Possibly the definitive Hampton line up of the 1960s. I wonder how they would have fared against today's side? I think this is a question that runs through many supporters minds in every club. Very difficult to compare eras , fitness standards, tactics etc would come into play. Perhaps it would be ...

Re: Farnborough Home Saturday.

I am sure the club will look at the pitch in the morning and if it is considered necessary, will have a referee in to give a verdict.

Re: Farnborough Home Saturday.

Watch the highlights of their game with Torquay where they unlucky not to win. Their left back Norville -Williams has a strong shot and would need to be watched.

Re: Farnborough Home Saturday.

Farnborough here on Saturday is an opportunity to get three points as we look to maintain our playoff place. Farnborough under Spencer Day remain in mid table. Day’s interviews after games are often worth a smile! He brings a team with several Slough connections his assistant Neil Baker was their ma...

Re: Weymouth away.

Thanks for the detail report. Much appreciated. Mel said very much the same things in his summary. He thought that Seymour might be back at the weekend. It was significant that two goals from a centre half, one from a midfielder and a penalty. Perhaps this underlined the absence of our three leading...

Re: Weymouth away.

One factor in our recent form decline is that Seymour and Bloomfield have missed several games.

Re: Weymouth away.

We seem to be getting young players from league clubs. Think many of us would like more experienced players, but it might be that at this time of the season these are the only loans that we can make. Statistically the league clubs take on and release lots of youngsters, some of which find themselves...

Re: Weymouth away.

Agree about this evening, more dropped points and then two home games where in both points could be dropped. If recent form continues over these three games then playoffs might start to look a remote possibility.
