Re: Chippenham Home Saturday

Another unbelievable last gasp winner when a draw looked nailed on. Better than Tuesday but still lacking in creativity at times. We started well with a couple of early chances before Chippenham took the lead after just 9 minutes. My understanding of tactics may be a bit historic but not leaving any...

Re: Chippenham Home Saturday

To be fair Mel never blames injuries saying he has a squad that is good enough to cover. However, seems to mention it quite frequently and clearly losing first choice players is bound to have some impact. And players also lose form for whatever reason. I suspect he knows his first choice best 14 and...

Re: Clubs in Crisis

Torquay still not in administration having filed another 10 day notice of intention to appoint administrators on 7 March. The notice will earn them a 10 point deduction nevertheless. Seems that the owner will write off his loans which will make rescue much easier to achieve (if honoured) and a numbe...

Re: Jimmy Bullard

Would be very surprised if he was joining the back room staff. He did a short stint as manager at Leatherhead a few years back but has been mainly involved in media work. Probably just someone known to the club as an interesting person to interview.

Re: Chippenham Home Saturday

Reading their forum, Chippenham don't seem to be performing too well at the moment. Not in danger of relegation and not in contention for a play off place. This and the Welling game need to produce wins to keep up the momentum.

Re: Other NLS News

Good luck to Dowse but the Hemel chairman is not renowned for retaining any manager more than a season. Around five in the last five years I think.

Re: Eastbourne tonight.

Not sure why we didn't bring on Afinowose in the second half instead of Brown. We seem to have reverted to the type of game plan which was heavily criticised under Gary McCann, long hopeful balls forward bypassing midfield.

Re: Eastbourne tonight.

How did we win that? We managed just four shots all game and scored in the 95th minute with what, to be fair, was our best move of the match, a nice finish by Bloomfield. Other than that we struggled to put anything together going forward for pretty much 90 minutes. Defence was fine but midfield was...

Re: Eastbourne tonight.

No easy games but this has to be one we have to win if we have play off pretensions.

Re: Havant Reduced Admissions?

Interesting development.I guess the club is a bit worried about losing the 1,000+ attendances in recent games but whether this does the trick remains to be seen. We were clearly getting some big crowds when prices were much higher though mainly on a Saturday when children formed a bigger proportion ...
