Are you going to submit any of these questions in advance Shep?Shepperton Supporter wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 11:30 am As I said on my earlier post, think we need to press them for their longer term plans . Still quite find it difficult to comprehend why these directors/backers given their backgrounds, are interested in a club of our standing ?

Re: Club statement
I think Gary would have still gone but the owners might have waited until the end of the season. For the last 18m the style of football played has been poor to watch so it cant have been pleasing on the eye for the owners. It has also been pointed out many times that the managers recruitment is con...

Re: Hemel away on a Saturday.
What is the nature of Brandon's injury? It does seem very long-term...you do wonder if a long term decision will need to be made about him at some point soon.

Re: Hemel away on a Saturday.
I think Tommy Wood just needs an arm put around him and some TLC. He definitely has the ability to score goals at this level, I think he just needs a strike partner next to him, small, agile and quick. Easier said than done granted but would be nice Completely agree with this, it always seemed so o...

Although at a slight tangent, the Hungerford chairman has announced his is leaving and going to Gloucester City. Financial pressures again the cause. Wonder if this might affect Steve King as manager at Gloucester? Is that a suggestion for new Hampton boss? Depends on how much money we want to spen...

Re: Hemel away on a Saturday.
Not much to add to what Tony's already said above, but for spells of this game we did seem to have slightly more of a spring in our step than of late, which was good to see, but the simple fact is that we don't have a strong enough team to compete at this level and certain players aren't putting in ...

Re: Hemel away on a Saturday.
Will be interesting for sure. Maybe we need a seperate "which potential managers are present" thread... Hopefully a few more players will be returning but I think a point would be a good result today. Maybe just knowing a new manager could be watching might mean some players step it up a b...

Thanks for confirming it Roger, I thought it was him! Poor old Russell might have saved it if he'd been fully fit.

Didn't Currie play against us for Barnet, and score, when we played them in the FA Cup 1st round in 2000?BevereeMaster wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 12:40 pm I believe he did very well at Barnet too, took a struggling side to the play off semis in the NL, seen as a cult hero there. Would be an interesting option.

Out of interest HM, why Maxwell? I don't know much about him...HamptonMad wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 10:05 am Underwood and Baker were tipped to get The Bracknell Town managers job in November But got turned down. Both are former Bracknell players. Anyway they would not be my choice. Maxwell for me.

Re: Club statement
I'd like to think that, although the ex Slough pair could be seen as being a safe pair of hands, we might be a little more imaginative in our scope. You could argue that despite their then lack of a ground, a club like Slough were too big for the lower level they were at anyway. I've never been over...
