Re: Dulwich at home on Saturday.

Very important win, spoilt for me by some idiot thinking it was funny to throw his half full glass of beer in the air covering everyone close to him, including me, after the second goal. I moved around to the small cover on the side to get away from him, but completely lost track of what happened i...

Re: Dulwich at home on Saturday.

If that happens we could always find someone else but if not, suspect Mel would prefer to play others in preference to Wood anyway. Noticeably he was subbed at half time in a couple of games and others did not start at all. We looked better for it. Isn't there a limit on how many loans per season? ...

Re: Those Were The Days; 19th February 2011

Whenever I see these team line-ups from the past, there always seems to be one player I've no recollection of. You'd have thought I'd remember a name like Bai Lette-Jallow but he rings no bells. The other surprising thing about this line-up is that it's almost entirely the same people that got to t...

Re: Dulwich at home on Saturday.

Interesting logic. We release a player who we think isn't good enough for us but worry that he so much of a threat that he will score against us. I don't think anyone is particularly disappointed he's gone, it's more a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy that this will happen! I can see him getting on...

Re: Dulwich at home on Saturday.

Didn't realise Wood had gone although I'm not surprised. I think he might have turned out to be a better addition under different circumstances. Gary seemed to want to often leave him a bit isolated up front which he clearly doesn't have the tools to do, and with his lack of support coinciding with ...

Re: Eastbourne (H)

Well, forum login issues now resolved (many thanks! ) and I'm definitely still here. No way am I deserting to Hanworth Villa, I like going there occasionally if we don't have a game but that's about it. 43 years of support doesn't just disappear overnight all because we have some new owners whose me...

Re: Meet the Owners Q&A tonight! Wednesday 1st February

Thanks for posting Lord Elpus. What I can't get my head around is why people didn't think to ask questions before voting to give the club away. The supporters trust board said they had been in discussions for months or so, but doesn't seem the actually asked much, or stipulated conditions. I still ...

Re: Meet the Owners Q&A tonight! Wednesday 1st February

Thanks Lord E..any thoughts on what is the real motivation of the backers and the brothers? is it monetary or glory? Ultimately It has to be one of the other? After all neither the backers nor the brothers will be doing this for entirely benevolent reasons? All this talk of "professionalism&qu...

Re: Meet the Owners Q&A tonight! Wednesday 1st February

I went. This is a rough outline, based on what I heard, although others may have read different things into it or I may have got the wrong end of the stick. Both the brothers were there, as were Mel Gwynnett and Jacques LeBars. It lasted about an hour and was filmed. Stefano started off answering th...

Re: Weymouth Away Tuesday.

If Inman and Fernandes are both going to be out injured then we really will be in desperate trouble defensively. Urgent replacements needed, as well as reinforcements then.

Re: Weymouth Away Tuesday.

The writing was on the wall at Havant who would have won 3 or 4-1 if they hadn't misfired in front of goal. I can't really understand why reinforcements haven't been bought in yet because otherwise what was the point in changing manager?
