Re: Braintree away on Saturday.

Couldn't go today so I listened to the (very decent) commentary. We probably weren't really expected to get much out of this game but listening at home it really didn't sound like we made many chances. Taunton got a decent result today so Tuesday looks all the more of an uphill task.

Re: New Signings

Seems a bit of an odd signing. Mel clearly sees something Dulwich didn't.

Re: Those Were The Days; 3rd March 1992

Really enjoying these posts. Remember that the Isthmian League Division 3 was probably about equivalent to the Combined Counties League of today. David Hook was a terrific keeper to have for that level. I think Brian Laing had brought him over from his previous club Feltham. Dicko, Chesh and Holland...

Re: Tonbridge on Tuesday.

Just seen Clifton’s penalty on twitter and got to say it was a pretty easy save for the keeper, pretty much straight at him. We are playing much better under Mel but goals still seem hard to come by. To give up the opportunity of two penalties is very hard to stomach. He definitely looked a bit uns...

Re: Tonbridge on Tuesday.

You can't win them all, and every season has at least one game like that. Trouble is, we've lost too many like that this season without playing anywhere near as well as we did last night. Mel's coaching is already clearly making a difference but our season and our position may unfortunately end up b...

Re: Tonbridge on Tuesday.

A good ish performance but not a great one I thought. Didn't really carve out many clear cut opportunities and if you miss 2 pens you don't deserve to win, pure and simple.

Re: Those Were The Days; 28th February 1998

Ahh great times. Some of the best players during my time of being a supporter are in that lineup. I'd count Russell, Powell, Burton, Cheshire, and Moore as contenders for any all time 11 although even if in just 25 years the game has changed a lot. How Barry Moore never made it to full time league f...

Re: Middlesex Charity Cup

Well it's been seen as the poor relation for quite a long time now and I guess we should probably put out a side made up of kids and fringers but quite frankly I'd rather we focused on avoiding relegation.
