Re: New pitch floodlights etc.
If I remember rightly we had one season in the early/mid eighties when we had to play all our friendlies away and possibly our first few league games too due to the pitch having some kind of overhaul. I know it stayed grass though! 1982 possibly? I'm sure Les or Tony might remember this. 1981/82...

Re: New season
Off topic, but Glentoran's ground is well worth a visit if you're ever across the water, full of character. Possibly the only UK ground to still have a cage/high fence to keep fans from entering the field of play from the terracing.

Re: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24
It does seem a very light campaign.

Re: NLS Allocation 2023/24
Met Police voluntary relegation? If a club chooses to effectively resign from the competition, they should have to go to the bottom. What's the point of competition. To the bottom of what? They have gone from Southern Premier to Southern Division One (whatever geographical combination they are curr...

Re: Season Tickets for next season.
Would people be happy with Season tickets costing 200+ and having to travel to a stadium that isn’t ours for however many games etc, I certainly wouldn’t. List me realistic ground shares that would require minimal travel cos from the Bev, I can’t think of any. Yes expect for most people committed e...

Re: Season Tickets for next season.
Don't see the connection between the two... we'll still be playing matches albeit perhaps at a different venue for 'home' games. STs would still be used.BevereeMaster wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 12:02 pm I imagine there is a delay on season tickets due to the pitch potentially not being ready in time for the new season like some have implied.

Interesting read, thanks for posting. Agree less of the Richmond/Ted Lasso nonsense.

Re: NLS Allocation 2023/24
Having read Stortford's statement they are more or less saying they are just going through the motions as they owe it to their fans to explore every avenue and will respect the outcome. They also have a fundraising page set up to "help with the appeal" so its really just a money making ope...

Re: NLS Allocation 2023/24
They fail to mention in their statement an alternative as to who should go instead, however. Exactly, the problem with the appeal is no alternative solution. Perhaps if NLS was still 22 sides they might have considered 23 in NLS and 21 in NLN, although that would have set a dangerous precedent by o...
