Re: Salisbury away

Looks like our expected first choice starting line up except for Gray. Hope this team shows us a bit more than previous games. I’m at Walton v Hashtag Utd, two promoted teams from last season and both expected to be challenging for promotion to the NLS.

Yes, injured. Was there last night. Not sure how long before he is fit to play.

Re: HVFC/HRBFC Memorial game tonight...

I've never watched Ted Lasso either but seems quite possible that is the reason behind Sam Cox popping up yesterday to play v HV. Whilst he is clearly experienced enough to play at this level, it would be pretty invidious if it looked as if someone was being picked for their marketing potential rath...

Re: HVFC/HRBFC Memorial game tonight...

Another rather underwhelming performance. Not much between the two sides and whilst not our likely starting XI got to say we looked pretty pedestrian. At least Gray got on for a few minutes. Cox said he was only guesting tonight to make up numbers but wonder if there is more to the player/coach role...

Re: Those Were The Days; 23rd July 2002

Inns was recruited by Ian McDonald from Wokingham and worked his way into the team over the season. Started out as a midfielder and only later dropped into defence. Not many survived that season but Inns and Dudley Gardner were kept on by Alan Devonshire. Need to check on Sam Okafor.

just spotted that Jaiden Drakes-Thomas played for Eastbourne on trial on Saturday which explains why he wasn't at Beaconsfield. Impressed by all accounts.

Re: Beaconsfield friendly

Yes, seemed a bit odd to see him given not included in previous PSFs. Last 20 mins did seem a bit random.

Re: Beaconsfield friendly

A couple of names mentioned but not sure if the club would want them revealed. Then there seemed to be flood of players some of whom quite likely won’t be seen again. James Comley did come on as well as did one of the Academy lads who played at Met Pol and Pitblado the trialist. Dontaye Whittaker wh...

Re: Beaconsfield friendly

The starting line up was indeed closer to an expected league opening XI minus the injured Gray and Bloomfield. No sign of Cheadle today so not sure if that is another injury so we lined up with four at the back. It was a bright opening with Seymour opening his account with a neat finish from Thomas’...
