Re: Hanworth Villa away tomorrow morning.
It's even more of a Hampton old boys side than it was. Solomon, Jelley, Federico, now joined by Culley and Ruddick.

Re: First friendly of the season.
Got a feeling it might have been the full Charlton first team squad that beat Dartford. Ours is an "XI."

Re: First friendly of the season.
1-1, Barzey with a well taken strike for us.Typical first friendly type of game, so difficult to tell much from these games in such heat, but we played the usual pre-season method of multiple changes. Second half we looked slightly pacier I thought, and a bit more purposeful, but some decent players...

Re: First friendly of the season.
It might depend how hot it is tomorrow...might see some players wilting in the heat, which is understandable at this time of year.

Re: Pre-Season
Oh my god, it's a good job some of you are in charge of generating income for the club. It's how you market things! Other clubs getting bumper crowds even when u23 games, putting on other entertainment on in and around the ground, making a day of it. The way you go on, it would be better to keep th...

Re: Pre-Season
Charlton under 23s means the crowd is highly unlikely to be much over 300, if it even gets that high.

Re: Pre-Season
Yes it used to be great when Brentford used to bring a full first team squad to us. We used to get around a thousand or so for those games if memory serves...someone might be able to confirm.

Re: Pre-Season
With the friendlies we've got, I will believe it when I see it. Most of those are clubs doing a VERY local non-league side a big favour. Brentford don't seem to bother with us any more, I would be amazed if we get the same from QPR and we definitely won't from Charlton.

Re: Staines Town
It's vindictive and spiteful. Wonder if there will be a Phoenix club to take their place because thats surely where they are at now?
