Dover here on Saturday

Well the last home game of the regular season. It is a must win game. Dover have already been relegated so they are playing for pride.
We know this may well be the last game at Beveree before Inman goes to Australia. There may well be others who will fall into the same category.

Re: Dean Inman

This move has been on the cards for some time, we switched to a hybrid training system this season. If you look at the players brought in (Revan Dreyer) they have been used to full time training regime. I don’t think the fall off in results has been due to this proposed alteration, rather due to inj...

Re: Dean Inman

This looks like we will be fishing in an unfamiliar pool for players. There might be a few players in our league who might be tempted, plus fringe players from the National League. Mel and Paul Tisdale might have some contacts with players who have played for them or came through their development s...

Re: Bath here on Tuesday

Think it might be the first time this season that Farnborough have been in the playoffs spots. Both Farnborough and Slough supporters think they have a playoff chance. We are out of the playoffs for the first time for several months!

Re: Dean Inman

Looks like some major changes in the playing staff. Perhaps this explains the Wishart situation and no doubt there will be others. There might be some players who have jobs that can be fitted round this training regime.

Re: Club Announcement 11 April 24

There are various possibilities from this statement, the one that Tony has put forward would be a logical and potentially good for the future. We await to see what transpires.
It might be we may see before any announcement on this topic, some other indicators of where we are going.?

Re: Bath here on Tuesday

If you look at the present squad, the younger players recently recruited are in their early 20s and have had some experience at non league level before us. To sign on players still in their teens is more risky, they would have to be exceptional and if so, why were they released? If you are going for...

Havant were released this evening having drawn 0-0 with Welling. Be interesting to see what happens to their squad in the summer.

Re: Bath here on Tuesday

If you talking about a wish list then. I would tend to agree about the type of player for midfield as described above. A strong ball winner who can distribute the ball. A midfielder who can open up defences with a single pass.would be good as well. Everything will depend on availability and the budg...

Re: Bath here on Tuesday

The post about trials seems to confirm they have taken place. Tony’s point about Eastbourne is very valid, there are so many young players coming through the system at various ages and they are released. History tells us that some players are missed and return to a higher grade of football successfu...

Re: Bath here on Tuesday

The point about going full time with younger players might be valid. We have already gone to a hybrid training system and this will continue. About now there are several players with league clubs who have been informed they will not be retained. Think last season we did have trials for them and this...

Re: Bath here on Tuesday

There are several players who are barely used, for whatever reason, and most likely must be on the way out. Would agree, a detailed look at the players signed on gives several categories. Long term injuries, retired, injury prone, out on loan, loaned to club, struggling to play a full match. In add...
