Re: Worthing - Home NYD

Cheshunt winning 1-0, thankfully it is against Concord who are the team below us but if we lose this game and Cheshunt stay winning we will be level on points with the Concord who occupy the final relegation spot, GD is what is saving us right now. Not good.

Re: Worthing Away Boxing day.

Would have him back in a heartbeat, best thing to happen to the club since I can remember, made us an attractive place to come play football.

Re: Worthing Away Boxing day.

Gary STAYS for me. All day long. I've been in this game for 45yrs and, imho, we're lucky to have him. However, we're absolutely NOT lucky with injuries and illness. Let's allow Gary to get some assemblance of his best squad back together and then see how we are. BEAVERS!!! His best squad can’t even...

Re: Worthing Away Boxing day.

Dowse eye for a player was exceptional, you could make a league 1 promotion fighting side out of players we had under him, whereas with Gary apart from Danilo Orsi and Ryan Hill most players drop a level or two once they leave us.

Re: Worthing Away Boxing day.

Probably all those marathons we allowed him to run mid season catching up with him, another genius idea from the management team, I remember when Kieron Murphy had his wedding on a match day and he never played a game for the club again under Alan Dowson, shame this management team aren’t as strict.

Re: Worthing Away Boxing day.

He signed Wadah who had not played football for 2 years, the last time he played football was when he was last with us. Not the cleverest decision to sign him whilst having an injury crisis.

Re: Worthing Away Boxing day.

Gary it’s time to go now, leave before things get even uglier, thanks for the two games vs Oldham but this can’t continue much longer.

Re: News of former players

Any news on that Australian kid Jack McLoughlin, heard his mum asked for him to come back to Australia - apparently parents back him with a lot of money to become pro- which clearly hasn’t worked but not sure If he’s gone back yet or not.

Re: What happens next?

It’s still a bit too early to say but currently I would say Hungerford (although they too have picked up a bit), Chippenham, Slough and Cheshunt, despite their recent upturn in results. As for us, if we can get more fit players we should be ok . Think our new owners will increase the budget and be ...

Re: Changes at top.

Of more concern is the lack of interest in having the trust involved. Would be interesting to hear the new owners thoughts on the Crouch Review of 2021… https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/fan-led-review-of-football-governance-securing-the-games-future/fan-led-review-of-football-governance-s...

Re: Changes at top.

They worked with a team in Uruguay I believe or some South American side and used their current model that they want to use with us with them and I think (may be wrong) they got them like 3-4 promotions in about as many years. This gives me a lot of optimism plus the fact they are well respected bus...
