Incidentally, I noticed a local news item that yesterday council officers had recommended that council approval be given for a 5G pitch.

If the club was or was about to become insolvent then presuambly the shares had little value (perhaps just enouigh to expedite the transfers) The transfers wouild be an entirely private matter with the new shareholders names ultimately appearing on a subsequent annual return. I would not like to judge or comment here on the wisdom of the owners actions but we do know the immediate outcome.
