Re: Eastbourne Borough

We have been pretty poor this half so far. Lucky to be only 1 down.

Re: Twitter

That is I believe correct as matters currently stand. Of course if we were promoted to the NL then it would apply to us. The White Paper on football governance may introduce heritage asset protections right across the game if it is passed fully into law but that is in the future. Clearly the directi...

Re: New kits

Pretty certain we have never played in all blue as a first choice kit. What is the status of the red and white shirt? No doubt the club will make all clear in due course.

Re: Eastbourne Borough

The daytime, three days a week training model has been tried by a few clubs at our level. Not that it can’t work but it shuts the door to a lot of very experienced and capable players who have good jobs outside the game. I think Eastbourne have retained perhaps only one player from last season and h...

Eastbourne Borough

It is somewhat ironic that our first game of the season is against another club with new owners also flirting with the legacy of Ted Lasso. Their new owner Simon Leslie is almost gushing with pride about his achievements before even one competitive game has been played. They even seem to have a deal...

Re: 23/24 League Predictions

To be fair, only a couple of (predictable) moans about goal scorers. There is clearly a lot of hope and expectation riding on the backs of our new strike force and after a handful of minutes together in pre season it is a reasonable question as to whether Bloomfield and Seymour can deliver. Just as ...

Re: 23/24 League Predictions

I think the bookies have just looked at the Eastbourne new money and projected top five. I think it will take time for their new regime to settle in and see them somewhere close to us in expectations. Not long to find out.

23/24 League Predictions

23/24 promises to be one of the most competitive seasons ever in the NLS. Where will we finish? With just five PSFs in which we only fielded a likely stating XI in the last game at Salisbury, it' has been pretty hard to judge where we are versus the opposition. The squad looks better on paper but lo...

Re: Eastbourne away...first league game

I’m going. We have a pretty good recent record at Eastbourne and three points would set us up nicely.
