Re: Club Statement 03/05/24
Disappointing news. The end of the season meltdown was poor and Mel really didn't seem to have any answers even once the worst of the injury problems were behind us. However, he always seemed to be the very presentable face of the club and came across as being pretty sensible. Feels like we could en...

Re: Review of the Season
Found a short interview with Roberts talking about his spell at the Beavers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAxqcwb03ak
Seems very positive about his experience with the club which might be a good sign if we did try to lure him.

Re: Review of the Season
I agree on James Roberts - he was impressive when he was with us and it was a pity he got recalled when he did. Something seems to have gone wrong with him this season at Havant but I think he still got 8 goals. He was with us during Gary's reign, I believe, so Mel may not be so familiar with him bu...

Re: Review of the Season
I think the "progress" made this season in terms of performance really depends on where you start the comparison from. Clearly, we are in a better place than we were at the end of December 2022, but that was a low point. That season seemed to go wrong after a couple of months, with Gary se...

Re: St Albans City away
I guess it must be Mel's view that Deano is already yesterday's man (unless he isn't fully fit - but no sign of that.)
Very sad he couldn't even be in the squad for his last few games.

Re: Club Announcement 11 April 24
What also feels odd is the "no further comment" part - it is not as if anyone was speculating in the first place. The "no further comment" line indeed just adds to the bizarreness of the whole thing. Perhaps yesterday's news about ninth-their Real Bedford FC has made the brother...

Re: Club Announcement 11 April 24
If you are looking to sell/get additional investment in to a business that you own, pretty much outright, then taking a £1.4 million loan debt of the balance sheet would make it more attractive to prospective investors or buyers. Agreed - although you might do that as part of the negotiations with ...
