Re: Torquay Utd

Picking up on some comments. Sorondo and Atkinson play a similar role and unless one of their roles are altered then there is a selection situation that Jules needs to address because the balance in midfield needs to be maintained. Personally I prefer Atkinson who is more suitable in the role ...

Doubt if the club will tell us! Hope this is not going to be a recurring problem.

Re: Torquay Utd

When you look at their lineup with the experience at a higher level was obvious and physically stronger. We got out muscled and they knew how to run the game. Their goal came from losing possession and then fouling them A free header and 1-0 down. Very few chances and.neither keeper was unduly ...

Re: Ted Curd

This happened last season when he was also on loan , this was always going to be a possibility and highlights the vulnerability you have with loans. Jules will have to decide if Davies is ready or get in a short term replacement.

Re: Torquay Utd

I listened to their manager’s interview, they have a few players out injured especially in central defence, but no doubt they have enough resources to cover. Expect both Dreyer and Seymour will be looking to get a good result .

Re: Arthur Rowlands RIP

Very sad , remember Arthur he played in a very great team in those mid 60s seasons. As has been said, he spent time at Staines after he left us. His son Martin played for Brentford and QPR.

Re: Enfield Town (H) - 28th Sept

Looking at the replies thus far there would not be many players from last season that would push their way into the current. Fernandez is the only one that most feel would improve the current team as his aerial ability would reduce the vulnerability in the air. As for striker options, Seymour seems ...

Re: Enfield Town (H) - 28th Sept

As an interesting question whilst we while away the hours, who from last season’s squad would you have started over Saturday’s starting XI? An interesting question Tony, think I would divide my answer into two categories. Those I would have back for certain. Fernandez is the most obvious and pro ...

Re: Enfield Town (H) - 28th Sept

Yes the highlights were interesting as for me it gave a different angle on the goals especially the final one.
An enjoyable watch!

Re: Enfield Town (H) - 28th Sept

A game that turned out to be an impressive win, we are happy to play the ball around in defence to see if we can find an opening further forward. If Enfield were going to keep things tight and hopefully snatch a goal and pack their defence this tactic was lost with conceding a early penalty ...

Re: Enfield Town (H) - 28th Sept

This is probably a must win game. Given their recent win at Bath they will be looking to get points again. From reports they took the lead and then ended up with a packed defence containing several central defenders so be warned if they try this tactic today. From his remarks yesterday Jules has ...
