Re: Jacques is back!
Still no one has asked why Mel left and why so many board changes. Guess we’ll never know now. Would have been an ideal opportunity to ask him.
You must remember that Louis is an employee and so th...

Still no one has asked why Mel left and why so many board changes. Guess we’ll never know now. [/quote I noticed the Alan Simpson memorabilia behind him! As for detail about the current state at the club, nothing a bit like all the interviews hope but little substance. We await more concrete news t...

Re: Other NLS News

Ollie Pearce and Joe Felix are leaving Worthing, having both turned down contracts. Did hear rumours earlier, interesting where they end up National league or remain in this league. Pearce has a fantastic goal scoring record especially last season so it’s no wonder he is much in demand. https://wor...

Re: More Changes?

One thing that is becoming clear this closed season is that a lot of money is being spent on squads and there are only two clubs that can be promoted! Looking at squads so far assembled Dorking, Eastbourne, Maidstone look front runners and no doubt Worthing will be in the mix if they retain players ...

Re: Summer 2024 squad tracker

Looking at the remaining squad I wonder how many will now sign. There are some which I would hope would do, whilst others I would not be too unhappy if they didn’t! With the reported budget cut, then the squad might be smaller, if so, then injury prone players would be a liability. Don’t forget ther...

Re: Summer 2024 squad tracker

Good news and slightly surprised that he has decided to stay given how many have decided to move on. He must be about the longest serving player. Wonder if Alan gave him some indication of who else was returning and who had indicated they were coming. Players like to know this sort of thing before ...

Re: Summer 2024 squad tracker

If you look at what still remains, there are some I would keep, my only concern is that are expensive and might be sold to reduce / spread the budget. If so, we might be left with some players, who in my opinion are not of the standard required. It all depends on recruitment as we all agree, it migh...

Looking back on our history another situation when we promoted internally with Harper /Barry who got sacked and Dowse rode in to rescue! I hope history does not repeat itself.
