Re: Chesham (home)
Dowse always seems to operate a "try it and see" policy regarding signing players. Bring them in give them a few games and if it doesn't work move them on and try others. Is this better than properly analysing a player before signing him? Maybe so mid-season but not in the close season. Like it or ...

You realise that when you are talking to yourself there is no need to post it here don't you?

Re: News of former players
David Fisher has left Glentoran and joined Hanoi FC in Vietnam.
Quite the move. I thought he had been going well at Glentoran but seems to have been in and out of the squad this season - not sure if he has been injured.
Ha! Ive just seen that Warren Feeny is now assistant manger at Hanoi and ...

Re: Dowse
I wouldn't say flopped. He took Woking out of the NLS at the first attempt plus got them to an FA Cup 3rd Round tie against Watford. Dartford he got to the play-offs then was sacked when they were mid-table in November, Dartford were relegated at the end of that season remember. Hemel he wasn't ...

Indeed. Re: Alan Julian departs
I still stand by the fact Donovan Chislett was the real “brains” behind the team. Jules was made manager partly because of the budget, but also because he was the easiest option to put in front of the fans. The brothers knew people wouldn’t turn on Jules quickly, which bought everyone a bit of ...

Re: Former rivals
Although we might pass each other in league placings, hopefully not, Walton & Hersham could very much come into the mix in the coming years.
I think there was a rivalry with Walton & Hersham in the not too distant past.
I think it went so far as some of our younger fans, at the time, went ...

Re: Manager Records
I’ve had a look back through our record and since the 2-2 draw at home to Dorking on 4th February 2025, we’ve played a total of 36 league games, with a total record of W6 D5 L25. The last 17 games of last season produced just two wins over sides that went on to be relegated. I acknowledge that we ...
