A strong second half performance with goals from James Simmonds and the returning Dave Tarpey saw the Beavers win the Middlesex Senior Cup.
After a slow first half and with the rain beating down on Uxbridge's Honeycroft Stadium, Hampton & Richmond put in a spirited display to see off Isthmian Premier opposition in Wealdstone FC, who themselves have had a remarkable run in the cups this season, having also reached the FA Trophy Semi-Final.
Just under 500 people braved the bad weather conditions and witnessed a first half which saw neither side able to take control of the game. Wealdstone arguably had the best chance of the half on 25 minutes, when a through ball by Connor Smith resulted in a shot being fired high over Craig Ross' goal.
Hampton began to take control of the game as the second half progressed but the goals didn't come until the final 20 minutes. A Nathan Collier cross led to a scramble in the penalty area, with James Simmond's collecting the ball inside the 18 yard box and blasting home into the left corner of the net.
Top scorer Dave Tarpey added a second in the final minutes. In an encouraging sign of the focus of the team, attention turned straight back to Conference South survival at the presentation of the trophy, as the players chanted 'we are staying up' with the travelling Beavers fans.
