Hampton & Richmond Borough are through to the final of the Middlesex Senior Cup for the first time since 2007/08 after a hard fought victory over Hendon at the Beveree.
A late winner by Dave Tarpey was enough to ease the Beavers through after a lively encounter as the home side finished narrow 3-2 winners.
Hampton couldn't have got off to a better start, finding themselves two goals to the better before twelve minutes had elapsed. Ryman Premier promotion hopefuls Hendon fought back though, and it was 2-1 at the interval.
After holding onto the lead for much of the second half, Mark Harper's men conceded with five minutes to go and it looked as though extra time and penalties was on the cards.
Dave Tarpey made sure this wasn't the case, scoring late in the game to send the Beavers into the final for the first time in four years.
The final is due to be played on Easter Monday at Uxbridge FC, and we will face Wealdstone FC who beat North Greenford Utd 2-0 in the other Semi-Final this evening and are performing well in the cups this season, also awaiting an FA Trophy Semi-Final against Newport County.
Hampton & Richmond Borough return to Conference South action this Saturday and take their relegation battle to Truro City, who visit the Beveree for a 3pm kick off.
